This all culminates in a disturbing religious themed game that seems to show that organized religion can drive some people to the darkest brinks of sanity. This plays a huge factor in the progression of the game, as you often have visions/dreams/hallucinations of this school, and of course are chased by a tentacle demon fuckstick through halls, classrooms, and the occasional air duct. Blake himself is haunted by grief from the "suicide" of a childhood friend Jessica from when he was in Catholic school. Basically you are Blake Lanngerman an investigative journalist who along with your wife Lynn set out to investigate the impossible death of a pregnant Jane Doe in rural Arizona.shit goes south from there as you'd expect.

Put me in a place, and make me wanna stop playing, however it is nice to have a horror game that manages to both convey a strong message albeit not a positive one, in a convincing fashion, and scare my dick off. I don't necessarily play horror games for an engrossing story. I play horror to be scared, and this has got that in spades. It's 110% from start to finish, and that it great. You rarely if at all get a moment of levity to recover.

I often found myself unable to play for more than an hour at a time because this game just piles on the tension, and torment. Before I begin this review will have LIGHT SPOILERS for Outlast 2, so If you have not played it.do so before hand.
